Feb. 7: Be Spiritual, Just Not Religious

Feb. 7: Be Spiritual, Just Not Religious

This lie equates spirituality with Christianity and encourages an individualist view of faith. It also mischaracterizes church as a ceremonial place of rituals and rules, not an assembly of disciples. The value of the body is ignored (where we encourage and serve one another) and the authority of church leaders is viewed with suspicion (“I know better”, “Moving on” from traditional religious institutions, seeing them as boring, restrictive, etc.

Satan is spiritual! So when you’re isolated from the body, he becomes your spiritual companion and your pastor.
