Traditionally the services at Easter were considered to form one coherent time of reflection held over several days. Our
worship on Easter Sunday makes the most sense when Thursday and Friday have been used to prepare for it.
Maundy Thursday Compline Service
We begin this year with the ancient service of Compline or Night Prayer. Although, for us it is the beginning of Easter Weekend, often this service was intended to be used daily as people ended the day. For that reason, it is both the simplest and briefest service in the prayerbook. In a service recorded that day, Rev. Alex will lead the prayers and share a very brief reflection from scripture on the significance of Jesus praying for us.
Good Friday Midday Prayer Service
Noon Live Broadcast
If you are able, please join us live at noon on Good Friday for Midday prayer: a simple spoken service of prayer and reflection on the cross. Rev. Ben Wulpi and Rev. Ben Hughes will each share a short homily reflecting on some of the last words of Christ looking at how together they reveal a God with us in our vulnerability and suffering, and yet over us in authority and power.
