We’re so excited to be able to worship together after such a long time. While we aren’t able to return to “normal” just yet, we believe that our plan will make the experience joyful and safe for everyone involved.
We want to share with you as many details about how this new in-person service will work ahead of time so that things will run smoothly. As this is new for all of us, we’ll be tweaking minor details as we move forward and as required by local and state mandates.
- Seating is Limited: Advance Registration Is Required
Every Tuesday we will send out an invitation via e-mail to register for the upcoming weekend’s service. Registration will remain open until 8pm Thursday night. Utilizing the registration system ensures that we are following current group size restrictions, and also serves as a contact tracing method in case someone learns of a positive test result after attending a service.Note that you may only register your family. If you need assistance to register because you do not have access to a computer or smart phone, please contact the office.
When the number of available seats is reached, you can add your name to the waiting list. If space becomes available, you will be notified. If not, those on the list will be offered seats for the following week before registration is opened to all.
- Where We’re Gathering
There will be tents on the lawn so that everyone is under cover. Park in Lot 2 (the large lot where we have been serving communion and gathering) so that you’re close and look for the check-in station at the end of the sidewalk. - What to Bring
Masks will be required to enter the service area. Additionally, please bring your own folding chair & an electronic copy of the bulletin, available in our app and on our website (and of course, your favorite morning drink!) Please dress appropriately for the weather. - When to Arrive
Please plan to arrive between 10:40-10:50am. This will allow enough time to check-in, place your chairs appropriately and get comfortable before the start of the service. - Checking In
We will have a check-in station set up near the end of the sidewalk that leads to the lawn. We’ll ask you to complete a brief symptom screening and take your temperature. Anyone with a temperature higher than 99.5 will be asked to return home. Please remain 6’ from those in front of you while waiting in line. - Seating
Families should set their chairs together and maintain a distance of at least 6’ from other
family units. - Offering and Communion
We will not be passing the offering plate, but a secure non-contact donation box will be available. Instructions for communion will be given during the service. - Plan B: What If We Need to Cancel?
In the event that a cancellation is necessary, we will make an announcement by 8:30am. This will allow you to watch the 9am broadcast service and participate in drive-thru communion at the conclusion of that service. We will share the announcement:
– on our website
– via a notification sent via our app
– via email to all registered attendees
– on Facebook
If you have any questions, please contact the office. We can’t wait to see you all!
